Chefs on Parade 2011 - Ultimate Asian ShowdownHotel and Restaurant Association of the PhilippinesFive-Star Media Inc., the event and production company of headhunter Vic Alcuaz was appointed Event Promoter of the forth-coming CHEFS ON PARADE (COP) 2011 - ULTIMATE ASIAN SHOWDOWN scheduled February 10-12, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center.

The Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) is the organizer and owner of the COP which began as early 1978. The COP 2011 will have 25 culinary competitions, 15 for the professional chefs and 10 for students.

HRAP has a total countrywide membership of 600 hotels, resorts, restaurants, hotel schools and institutional members in the food service business.

The COP 2011 promises to bring together the best chefs in Philippine hotels, resorts and restaurants and other industry professionals and practitioners in this 3-day culinary event dubbed as 'the most awaited and the biggest culinary event of the year!'

The Bayleaf Intramuros

The Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) is preparing for the opening of their first boutique hotel called THE BAYLEAF INTRAMUROS which will feature 56 well appointed hotel rooms, a destination restaurant in their top floor, a coffee shop on the ground floor, several meeting and conference rooms for business and leisure and other guest facilities. The hotel will become a venue for the on the job training of LPU's hotel, restaurant and culinary students. The long term plan of the LPU is to build a Bayleaf in the other campuses in Cavite, Laguna and Batangas. Right beside the hotel will be the LPU Culinary Institute which is set to open almost simultaneously with The Bayleaf Intramuros in April 2011.
 
VIC ALCUAZ has been engaged by LPU President Atty. Roberto Laurel to help the owners and their management team in ensuring a successful opening of their first hotel venture.

Among the programs that will be conducted are:

The programs will run from September 26 to October 8, 2010.

Island Cove Resort and Leisure ParkIsland Cove Resort & Leisure Park has contracted the training expertise of hospitality headhunter, trainer and consultant VIC ALCUAZ to conduct SERVICE EXCELLENCE classes for all it's staff including the key managers and front liners.

Gilbert Remulla, Island Cove General Manager and Arlyn Alino, Human Resources Manager signed a 6-class 12 days program that started June 22 and will end on July 14.

The program includes a half day REVISIT OF THE VISION, MISSION & VALUE STATEMENTS that were written in 2008.
