Vic Alcuaz began his career in Philippine Airlines (1975 – 1983) where he was an International Flight Crew and later a Crew Trainer and Audio-Visual Officer. While in PAL, he was stationed in the Boeing Headquarters in Seattle, Washington, USA and in the Airbus Headquarters in Toulouse, France to train for the new acquisitions of B-747s' and Airbus 300s' airplanes. Vic also established PAL’s audio-visual center which produced all of the Inflight Center’s training video requirements.

In 1985, Vic joined The Hyatt Regency Manila as Director of Human Resources. While at The Hyatt, Vic conducted all the training programs of Hyatt International entitled, “Training for your Future”. These programs included Leadership Workshops, Supervisory Skills, Team Building, Service Excellence & various Service Skills Programs.

In 1990 as Shangri-La International was preparing to open its first hotel in the Philippines, the EDSA Shangri-La Manila, Vic was appointed the pre-opening Human Resources Director. While at the Shangri-La, Vic was exposed to the different Asian culture service styles in their hotels in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore & China.

Vic became an independent hospitality headhunter, trainer & consultant in 1995.

He was Chairman and Project Director of "HR2 Asia-Pacific Conference on Human Resources Management in Hotels and Restaurants" which was held in Manila in October 9-13, 2000 and participated by international hotel HR executives.

Vic is also an independent television and concert producer (since 1988) and owner of Cafe Inggo 1587, a full-service cafe/restaurant located within the premises of the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City. Vic has also penned numerous articles for different publications and authored his first book published in 2015, Hospitality Superstars. His second book entitled Multi Cultural Diversity in the Workplace for the Tourism Professional published by Rex Publications will be launched in 2020.
